Member and Partner Services And Benefits

The Asian American Federation (AAF) currently has 70+ member nonprofits. As a member, you have an expanded and supportive network of peers, professionals, and organizations. All member agencies gain access to funding opportunities, technical assistance resources, connections to elected officials, and many other benefits.

As a partner, you will be enrolled in our Partner Development Program that helps young and growing nonprofits build capacity. At the end of the program, some partners may be eligible to become AAF members. The Partner Development Program includes training opportunities about the legal logistics of running a nonprofit, Board development, and fundraising.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, AND DATA RESOURCES

AAF provides managerial assistance and support to help agencies increase effectiveness, build in-house knowledge, and maximize their use of resources. Our goal is to enhance both organizational and community infrastructure.

Free or discounted technical assistance in topics such as fundraising, financial management, and program planning.
Free or discounted admission to workshops and other professional development opportunities, including leadership development programs.
Enrollment in the Partner Development Program to build capacity for start-up nonprofits.

DATA RESOURCES

Priority access to services of AAF’s Census Information Center, including data and mapping services.
Access to data trainings.

FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES

AAF helps agencies expand their resources by connecting them to new opportunities and providing them with relevant recommendations.

Introductions to potential donors, representatives of philanthropic institutions, key decision-makers and community leaders.
Eligibility for competitive regrants.
Alerts about and exposure to funding and other capacity-building opportunities.

WORKING COLLABORATIONS

AAF facilitates collaborations between our member and partner agencies.

Invitations to sponsor and/or participate in conferences, roundtables and events.
Inclusion in initiatives to improve program services and maximize limited resources, such as joint program planning and service coordination.
Opportunities to organize and/or participate in partnerships in programming or service delivery.

EXTERNAL VISIBILITY

AAF promotes agencies publicly so they are seen by and are able to form valuable connections in the community, nonprofit, government and business sectors.

ADVOCACY OPPORTUNITIES AND RELATIONSHIPS

AAF works with agencies to identify key community issues and advocate for responsive policies. Our goal is to increase our members’ and partners’ political capital.
